Early Humans Unit
Strata Storyboard:
The strata storyboard helps us understand more about how artifacts are judged on how old the artifact is. Strata is la series ayers of rock and soil that show the age of the soil. Depending on the age of the Earth around the artifacts found, would tell the age. This project helped us understand how archaeologists found how old artifacts from Early Humans were. As well as how far down the artifact was.
Burial Site Project:
The burial site project was one of the major projects that we did as a group in world cultures. What we did was we created a burial site that represented a certain time period, were the dead body lived, and what hierarchy they were in. Then the group would put artifacts to show what the body would use when they were alive. This project not only helped us get along with each other in a group but, as well gives us a review of what we have learned about the paleolithic, mesolithic, and neolithic time era. We used or memory of each era to find out other groups burial sites. Once we figured out what the time period was we would write an essay explaining why our conclusion was that time era.
